What a healthy relationship looks like
A plain checklist for when you are not sure what normal is.
If you grew up around conflict, or have been in a hard relationship, it can be difficult to know what healthy looks like. Here are some signs.
In a healthy relationship
- You can say no without being punished for it
- You can see friends and family freely
- Disagreements happen, but they do not frighten you
- Money is discussed, not controlled by one person
- You can have your own phone, passwords and time
- Apologies are followed by changed behaviour
- You feel more like yourself, not less
