Privacy
What we keep, and what we never ask for.
We collect the minimum needed to reply to you. We never require you to describe what happened. We ask for your country only, never your precise location, and every personal question has a prefer not to answer option.
What each form collects
- Signals from Shore, the newsletter: your email address, and which page you signed up from.
- Request support: a name you choose, how and when it is safe to reach you, your country if you choose to give it, what kind of help you are looking for, how soon, and anything you choose to add. You never have to describe what happened, and every personal question can be skipped.
- Professional and partner enquiries: your name, organization, email, sector, country, and a line about what you are interested in or provide.
- Sharing a story: your words if you write them, how you want your name shown, an email address so we can send you the draft to approve, and optionally a country, a topic and a content note. Kept for up to 180 days while we prepare it with you. Nothing is published without your approval of the final version, and you can withdraw it at any time.
- Program interest lists: your email address and which program you asked to hear about. You are not added to the newsletter.
- Podcast waitlist and room notices: the same email record, with a flag for what you asked for.
- Holding a seat in a room: a first name, an email, and which room.
- Asking for a session: a name, an email, an optional phone number, how you would like to be contacted, and one optional line about what you would like to be easier.
That is all. No form requires you to describe what happened, or asks for a diagnosis, medication, or treatment history. We ask for your country, never a precise location, and the site never requests your device location.
Start Here, search, and the Resource Finder
Answers to Start Here and anything typed into search are used to build the page you see and are then discarded. They are sent privately, so they do not appear in the address bar or your browser history as text. Country and subject choices in the Resource Finder do appear in the address.
My Harbor
Saving something to My Harbor keeps it in your browser on this device. It is never sent to us, and we cannot see it. On a shared device, anyone using this browser could see it, so use Clear everything on the My Harbor page when you are done. Quick exit leaves the page immediately but does not erase your browser history.
What we do not do
- No cookies for visitors. The only cookie on this site is set for the person running the admin area.
- No advertising trackers, analytics scripts, pixels, or third party fonts. Every file on this site is served from this site.
- No accounts, logins, or profiles for visitors. Nothing on this site tracks you between visits.
- Sheets are never sent back to us. There is no upload, and filled sheets stay with you.
- Nothing said in a room is written down.
What we count
We count, per day, how many times each sheet is downloaded and how many times each article is read to the end. The count has no name, address, device, or visitor identifier attached to it, and it cannot be linked to you. It tells us which sheets are useful.
Every email we send has a one click unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately. We do not share, sell, or rent email addresses. Mail is sent through a delivery provider who handles it only to deliver it.
How long we keep things
Room sign ups are deleted automatically thirty days after the room has run. Support requests and session requests are deleted automatically after ninety days. Professional enquiries are deleted after a year. Email addresses stay until you unsubscribe, and an unsubscribed address with nothing left switched on is deleted automatically after thirty days.
Asking us to delete something
Write to support@griefyardworks.com and we will delete what we hold about you. You do not need to give a reason.
