I don't know if what happened counts
You do not need a name for it before you are allowed to take it seriously.
A lot of people arrive with the same question: was it bad enough?
There is no threshold you have to clear. If something keeps coming back, changed how you sleep, how you trust, or how you see yourself, it counts enough to look at.
Signs it is still affecting you
You avoid places, people or conversations connected to it. You feel numb, or angry more than you used to. You work, drink or scroll to keep from thinking. You cannot quite remember parts of it, or you cannot stop remembering.
None of those mean something is wrong with you. They are ordinary responses to something that was not ordinary.
What to do with that
You do not have to label it. You can start with what would make this week easier. If you want company in figuring it out, Start Here asks a few questions and suggests places to begin. Nothing you choose is stored.
