Common questions answered plainly.

Medication can be one part of treatment for depression, anxiety and other conditions.

Common questions

Will it change who I am? Most people say it helps them feel more like themselves.

Are they addictive? Many common antidepressants are not addictive, but stopping suddenly can cause side effects. Always talk to your doctor before stopping.

How long until it works? Often several weeks.

What about side effects? These are common at first and often ease. Tell your doctor if they are a problem.

Medication is not weakness

Taking medication for your mental health is like taking it for any other health condition.

Your doctor or pharmacist can answer specific questions.
